On the 11th of May 1953, Sergeant Morrow, was the Officer in Charge of the Police Transport Section.   

Whilst travelling to his office, Sergeant Morrow’s motor vehicle skidded on the wet road, colliding with a power pole at the corner of Bulwer and Lord Street, he suffered serious injuries to his head and body.

Sergeant Morrow was taken to Royal Perth Hospital but died from his injuries on 15th of May 1953.
