On Thursday 7th of December 2017, at 1:16pm, First Class Constable Green was riding his Police motorcycle on an advanced police motorcycle training course along with two police motorcycle instructors.

Whilst travelling on Julimar Road, Toodyay, whilst negotiating a right hand bend, 1st Class Constable Green's motorcycle suddenly veered to the left, entering onto the gravel verge and collided with a tree.

His colleagues provided immediate First Aid until paramedics arrived, but 1st Class Constable Green sadly died at the scene. 

1st Class Constable Green was given a Police funeral with full honours.

1st Class Constable Green leaves behind his wife, Michelle and two sons.

The family were posthumously presented with the National Police Service Medal, The Western Australia Police Star Medal and the Western Australia Police Service Medal.
