Details:
On the 31st of October 1894, Constable Richardson was transporting 15 Bunuba resistance fighters to Derby, assisted by two trackers, Jandamarra (known as Pigeon) and Captain.
The party camped at Lennard Police Camp on Lillamaloora Station, West Kimberley, whilst Pigeon and Captain left to capture a local man.
At some point after returning to camp, Constable Richardson was asleep when Pigeon shot him and released all the prisoners.
On the 1st of April 1897, Pigeon was shot by a police patrol near his hideout in the caves of the King Leopold Ranges in the Kimberley.
